Samsung, Huawei, and Oppo are the platinum sponsors of the expo

A three-day Smartphone and Tab Expo (STE) began in the city yesterday. Globally reputed major brands, including iphone, Samsung, and Huawei are showcasing their latest products, and designs at the fair.

The exposition, being held at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital’s Agargaon area, will remain open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm till tomorrow.

Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar inaugurated the exposition as chief guest.

Expo  Strategic Planner Muhammad Khan says, “World renowned 12 brands including Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, Motorola, iPhone, Nokia, Maximus, RealMe, Umidigi, and DTel are participating at the expo with lucrative offers on their displayed products.”

Besides,  Bijoy brought innovative smart devices in the expo. Kaspersky is the cyber security partner of the fair.

Huawei Brand promoter SM Rabbi Hasan told Dhaka tribune, “We have reduced the prices of our products, giving discounts of up to Tk5,999.”

Many outlets are also offering discounts, and free home deliveries on their sales of smartphones, and tabs.

Samsung Brand promoter Akash Ahmed claimed mobile phones were on high demand at the fair.

 “We are offering up to 50% discount on tag prices of mobile sets with special package for students,” Akash added.

Organizer Muhammad Khan said : “Participating companies are displaying, and selling smart devices, and accessories under one roof in the fair.”

Technology lovers got their favorite accessories alongside smartphones, and tablets of their choices  at the fair, said another organizer.

Participating companies were showcasing new tech products at the expo, while the visitors could also compare fair offers, and gifts with the current market prices, added Muhammad Khan.

Samsung, Huawei, and Oppo are the platinum sponsors while DX Tel, and Vivo are gold sponsors, and Motorola named as Silver sponsor.

There are three platinum-sponsored pavilions, two gold-sponsored pavilions, and a silver pavilion at the fair venue.

Among others, Samsung Bangladesh Country Manager Seungwon Youn, Huawei Technologies Bangladesh Sales Director Junior Salahuddin Sanjee, Oppo Bangladesh Brand Manager Iono, DX Tel LTD Head of Retails Operation JM Hasan saif, Vivo Bangladesh Head of Project and Operations Angus, Smart Technologies Telecom Business Director Shakib Arafat, and ExpoMaker’s Strategic Planner Muhammad Khan were present at the exposition.

Entry fee has been fixed at Tk 20 per person, while students get free entries at the exposition.
