Berger Paints arranges art competition for special needs children

A ceremony was held to award the winners of an art competition for the children

Financial grants were handed over by Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd to multiple organizations working for the welfare of special needs children in Bangladesh at Gallery Chitrak on Tuesday, according to a press release.

Also, a ceremony was held to award the winners of an art competition for the children. An exhibition of the participating artworks was also inaugurated on the occasion.

SEID Trust, Autism Welfare Foundation, Society for Welfare of Autistic Children, Scholars Special School, Proyash Bisheshayito Shikkha Protistahn, Alokito Shishu, Tauri Foundation -School For Gifted Children and Community Development Centre are among the organizations that received contribution from Berger Paints.

The organizations were helped with financial aid for centre operations, house rent, training centre expenses, equipment for the disabled, appliances for special education, education expenses, calendar etc. according to the need of the organizations. 

Since 2011, Berger Paints has been organizing art competitions for autistic and specially challenged children. The competition, organized annually, provided awards to six winners in two groups, Group A (6-10 years) and Group B (11-15 years).

In the ceremony, Rupali Chowdhury, managing director of Berger Paints, handed over the crests and Mohsin Habib Chowdhury, senior general manager - Sales and Marketing, awarded the prize money and certificates to the winners of the art competition.

Rupali also inaugurated the art exhibition, which displayed 113 paintings.
