Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Hiroyasu Izumi expressed his interest for the agreements
Japan has evinced its keenness to sign a Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Bangladesh aimed at boosting bilateral trade and commerce between the two countries.
Japanese Ambassador to Bangladesh Hiroyasu Izumi expressed his interest for the agreements while he and representatives of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) met Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal at his secretariat office in Dhaka on Wednesday, said a press release.
During the meeting, they discussed various bilateral issues, including trade and business expansion, reports BSS.
Kamal said Bangladesh is the suitable place for investment as the government is providing all sorts of supports to the investors in the country.
He urged the Japanese investors to come forward with more investment in different sectors of the country.
Hiroyasu Izumi assured the finance minister that Japan would continue supporting to Bangladesh in future.
