Accelerance to help increase sales of Bangladeshi software on global market

Their support should boost sales in targeted markets

The US-based global software outsourcing authority, Accelerance, intends to help merchandise and boost the sale of Bangladeshi software services on the: North American, European, Australian, and other English-speaking markets.

Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and Accelerance Inc signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in this regard, on Thursday, at the office of the Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar, said an official on Sunday.

Tarique M Barkatullah, deputy project director of the Leveraging ICT for Growth, Employment, and Governance (LICT) Project of BCC, and Andy Hilliard – president of Accelerance Inc – signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations, reports UNB.

Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar, BCC Executive Director Parthapratim Deb, LICT Component Team Leader Sami Ahmed, Accelerance Vice President Hugh Morgan, and Chief Delivery Officer Jim Marascio were present at the signing ceremony.

The terms of the MoU state that Accelerance will provide support for Bangladesh's Software Development Companies’ (BSDCs) sales and marketing efforts—in  targeted markets.

The US-based body will also provide training for BSDCs to enable them to formulate, and successfully execute, engagements in target markets.

Accelerance will also provide direction and assistance to develop and implement plans based on technical and readiness assessments BSDCs, the MoU said.
