'Bend Da Trend' revolutionizing women's fashion in Bangladesh
Bend Da Trend, a women's fashion company has taken a unique approach to cater to women's demand for glamorous couture for special occasions by renting outfits for a day instead of selling them. Founder & CEO of Bend Da Trend, Ariful Islam said: “We are not just a fashion company, we are a fashion technology company where we are creating a platform where we want to gift a Cinderella moment at a fraction of the retail cost. One would not need to buy an expensive designer dress to wear on one or two occasions only, but can rent it instead. Ariful called their company a “paid test drive platform” working to promote the designers' dresses. They have also partnered up with women who are willing to give away dresses they bought but no longer need, thus creating an income source for many women. Bend Da Trend is currently available as a mobile application on Android. Customers can download the application and register, make their selection from a range of offerings such as gowns, western attire, lahengas, and other designer wear. The dress is delivered within 24 hours, and after three days, Bend Da Trend’s agent collects the dress, free of cost. The dress is then sent out for dry cleaning and is ready for rent again.
