Speakers at a business summit yesterday urged for greater innovation, dynamic policymaking and openness to new ideas in order to be able to survive in today’s ever-changing business climate.
Various industry leaders gathered at the CIMA Business Leaders’ Summit 2018 in Dhaka to discuss the rapid overwhelming disruptions that have taken place in the corporate world and how to turn them into strategic opportunities.
Among the speakers were Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, the CEO and MD of Robi Axiata Limited, AK Joaddar, chief financial officer at Brac Bank and Zinnia Huq, finance director at Glaxo Smithkline. Vinesh Singh, head of product, SCM and finance at Roush, delivered the keynote speech.
The world is getting digital too fast and old leadership style was a recipe for disaster in this scenario, Mahtab Uddin said in his presentation. In order to survive, business leaders need to develop multifaceted competence, he said.
Other industry representatives also provided perspectives on the future of their businesses.
