Stressing on the prospects and challenges of digital financial services, University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) has recently released a paper on financial inclusion in Bangladesh. The paper is a part of a series titled “Thought Leadership Article,” published by the Centre for Enterprise and Society (CES) at ULAB. In the paper, the current state of financial inclusion in Bangladesh has been brought to light alongside insights on digital financial services, agent banking and mobile financial services for their development, said a press release. CES Director Sajid Amit said digital financial inclusion is essential to financial inclusion in Bangladesh, which in turn is essential to development at all levels. “This particular paper is meant to inform readers on how far mobile financial services as well as the newest form of digital financial inclusion, agent banking, have come,” he added.
