NASA Space Apps Challenge next month

Third NASA Space Apps Challenge 2017, largest hackathon competition, is going to be held in seven divisions in the country on April 29-30. Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has organised the event.NASABASIS president Mostafa Jabber yesterday came up with the disclosure at a press conference held at BASIS office. Daffodil International University Trustee Board Chairman Sabur Khan, BASIS Director and BAIS Student Forum Convenor Riadh SA Hossain, Founder of Bangladesh Innovation Forum Ariful Hasan Opu, Founder of Divine IT Limited Iqbal Ahmed Fakhrul Hasan, Independent University faculty M Ashraful Amin and Daffodil International University’s Head of Software Engineering Department Dr Tauhid Bhuiya spoke, among others, at the press conference. Organisers said any particular person or any team can participate in the competition, and this year participants would solve different problems during hackathon competition. Organisers have requested interested individuals to register on the website – http://studentsforum.basis.org.bd/ – by Aprill 5. Details are the http://spaceappschallenge.org. Ariful Hasan Opu said: “Last year, we achieved 3rd position, and this year and we are preparing to get to the top in people’s choice category.” To encourage girls, this year, organisers would give extra 10% number, he said.
