Bangladesh Investment and Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Kazi M Aminul Islam has called upon all to work together to make use of their ‘innovative ideas’ for the welfare of people.
“Everyone has innovative power. We should find them out and materialise them for the society and the country,” he said while addressing a seminar as the chief guest.
The seminar was held at the Dhaka University (DU) Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Wednesday, said a press release.
DU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Lab (DU ie-lab) in partnership with the Organisation Strategy and Leadership Department hosted the programme titled “Building an Effective National Innovation System (NIS) for Bangladesh: Role of Government, Universities, Industries and Development Partners (GUIDE)”.
DU Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Nasreen Ahmad presided over the event.
Associate Prof of Management Department Dr Muhammad Shariat Ullah and Assistant Prof of Organisation Strategy and Leadership Department M Rashedur Rahman delivered their keynote speeches.
Dignitaries, including representatives from GUIDE, and a visiting team from South Korea, took part in the seminar and shared their valuable insights, according to the release.
