PM assures teachers of a solution, FBUTA President says

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has assured public university teachers of reaching a solution about their demand of a separate pay scale, Federation of Bangladesh University Teachers Association (FBUTA) President Farid Uddin Ahmed said.

 

HC orders to accept Rabbi's complaint as FIR

The High Court has ordered to accept Bangladesh Bank official Golam Rabbi's complaint against SI Masud Sikdar as FIR. The court also observed that suspended SI Masud should be dismissed, reports Bangla Tribune, sister concern of Dhaka Tribune.

 

RAB deploys new weapon against yaba smugglers

In the largest ever yaba haul by any law enforcement agency, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three people with 2.8 million yaba pills in Dhaka and Chittagong. RAB Director General Benazir Ahmed said on Monday that recent successes in taking down yaba traders is largely the result of RAB's new naval equipment.
