Salahuddin reappears in Shillong

BNP leader Salahuddin Ahmed was discovered in India’s Shillong on Monday, two months after he had gone mysteriously missing from Dhaka. But the reappearance of the former underground crisis communicator of the BNP is also wrapped in equal – if not more – mystery.

When the law enforcers are yet to unearth mystery behind the killing of secular activists Avijit Roy and Oyasiqur Rahman Babu in less than three months, unidentified miscreants – believed to be members of radical Islamist groups – hacked to death another listed science writer in Sylhet yesterday.

116 Bangladeshis rescued from Malaysia-bound trawler

HC seeks report on police action against student protesters 

The High Court has asked the inspector general of police to submit a report by June 14 regarding the actions taken against policemen who had beaten up demonstrators near the Dhaka Metropolitan Police  headquarters on Sunday.
