20 RAB men involved in N’ganj killings

Sacked Tarek Sayeed, Arif Hossain and other RAB personnel were involved in the Narayanganj seven-murder incident, a RAB investigation report said. 

A probe team, led by Additional Director General (administration) Aftab Uddin, handed over its investigation report to the attorney general’s office, blamed the three sacked RAB 11 officials for the abductions and killings, saying they acted on their own.

Oil spill: Measures to maintain Oxygen level

The government is planning to use chemical substances to preserve the density of Oxygen to the standard level in the areas affected by the oil spill on the river Shyalla in Sundarbans.

Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan endorsed the information in a press briefing on Wednesday.

A Dhaka court has issued an arrest warrant against BNP Senior Vice-Chairman Tarique Rahman in a defamation case for calling Bangabandhu "Pakbandhu."

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataul Hoque passed the order on Wednesday afternoon.

Md Monir Khan, an assistant secretary of the ruling Awami League’s central sub-committee, filed the case on November 17.

Court asks Moudud to appear before it by 4pm

A Dhaka court has asked BNP leader Moudud Ahmed to appear before it by 4pm on Wednesday in a case filed with Shahjahanpur police station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tarek Moinul Islam Bhuiyan passed the order while conducting the partial charge framing hearing of the case in the morning.
