PM: Children shouldn't undergo formal intake test

Children matured enough to start school, should not undergo formal entrance test with printed question paper, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said.

She said: “Children old enough to join schools should get immediate admission and there is no necessity of arranging formal admission test with printed question paper.”

40 students fall ill following lightning strikes

At least 40 students have fallen sick when lightning struck a tree close to their school in the district's Shreepur upazila.

Of the injured, 10 female students--Taslima, Rabeya, Nasreen, Esha, Nusrat, Tushi, Tania, Tamanna, Rumpa and Ifat-- have been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex.
