Pathao shortlisted the three out of a total 25,000 users based on who took rides on more than 10 occasions in the first 10 days of Ramadan.
Ride sharing service Pathao is sending three lucky users home this Eid via helicopter.
According to a press release on Monday, Pathao shortlisted the three out of a total 25,000 users based on who took rides on more than 10 occasions in the first 10 days of Ramadan.
The winners are Arshad Pappu and Nur Uddin Tahsin from Chittagong, and Abu Bakar Siddique from Thakurgaon. They will be allowed to take another friend or family member on their helicopter journey from Dhaka to their home district.
The winners of the lottery, titled “Uthao”, each received a text message informing them of their prize, and were also called directly through Facebook live.
Their names were also announced by Pathao Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Hossain M Elius and Vice President Kishore Hashemi in a ceremony at the company’s office in Dhaka.
“Pathao always thinks about making rides easier, quicker and more convenient, from that we came up with this Uthao campaign, which represents what we as a company strive for,” Hossain M Elius said.
The Pathao CEO also said they have plans to take their service to “new heights”, and that the initiative would be “visible in a few days”.
