The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) aiming to strengthen relations and expand economic cooperation between the two bodies.
FBCCI President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin and SMF President Douglas Foo signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides at the Bangladesh-Singapore Business Forum 2018 held in Singapore on Tuesday, said an FBCCI press release on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke at the forum. A Bangladesh business delegation accompanied the premier during her tour of Singapore.
FBCCI Senior Vice-President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, Vice-President Md Muntakim Ashraf and members of its board of directors were present at the ceremony.
According to the memorandum, both parties will promote the exchange of business information, and will render assistance to each other in trade, investment and business events.
Both the parties will also arrange business conferences and exhibitions in their respective countries.
