Move made to make the official’s retirement – which is due on February 2 – smoother, says Public Administration Ministry
The government has redesignated Md Alamgir, senior secretary of Bangladesh Election Commission, as an officer on special duty (OSD).
The Ministry of Public Administration issued a circular on Tuesday his redesignation, attaching him to the ministry, reports Bangla Tribune.
According to the report, the ministry made the move to smoothen Alamgir’s retirement, which is due on February 2.
The ministry has also appointed Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker, divisional commissioner of Rajshahi, as a secretary at the Election Commission, and Dr Md Humayun Kabir, additional secretary at the Public Administation Ministry, as the divisional commissioner of Rajshahi.
These changes are effective immediately.
