24 Rohingyas arrested in Chittagong

The police, however, could not confirm if the Rohingyas fled from the camps in Cox’s Bazar

As many as 24 Rohingya men have been arrested from Patiya upazila in Chittagong.

Borhan Uddin, officer-in-charge of Patiya police station, said they arrested the Rohingyas after conducting a drive in Gobindarkhil in Patiya upazila early Friday.

The police, however, could not confirm if the Rohingyas fled from the camps in Cox’s Bazar.

The arrestees were all males between 19 to 55 years of age.

The arrested Rohingyas were sued under the Foreigners Act before being produced in court.
