Bangladesh-India hold meeting on power

Both delegations vowed to work jointly to develop further the bilateral relations

A high level meeting of Bangladesh-India Joint Steering Committee on power has been held at Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka.

Electricity Division Senior Secretary Dr Ahmed Kaikaus and Indian Electricity Secretary Subhash Chandra Garg were present at the Monday meeting.

During the meeting, the Steering Committee discussed issues such as electricity import, transmission lines, and the development of Rampalthermal power plant.

After the meeting, the delegations met with the press, where they vowed to work jointly to develop further the bilateral relations.

DrKaikaussaidBangladesh and India are on the same page as issues have been sorted out.

SubhashGargsaid India and Bangladesh maintain good relations in the power sector, which will only continue to grow.
