The glitches will be fixed gradually, said the plant's chief engineer
Technical glitches have forced five out of seven units of Ghorashal Thermal Power Plant to suspend operation.
Mir Ruhul Kuddus, the plant’s chief engineer, said on Saturday the glitches will be gradually fixed.
“Unit one, which was shut down on July 31, is likely to resume operation from Saturday afternoon,” he said. “Fixing the rest will take some time.”
Unit six has remained shut for several years after a fire incident, while units seven, two and five were forced out of operation last month.
On Friday, 240MW and 160MW were generated by Unit three and Unit four respectively, power plant sources said.
