Responding to another starred question placed by lawmaker Syed Abul Hossain of Dhaka 4, Nasrul said the government has taken an initiative to set up solar charging stations in six divisional cities as a huge amount of electricity is draining everyday due to charging batteries of vehicles across the country.

“The government has taken an initiative to check electricity wastage caused by charging batteries in vehicles,” he said.

Noting that a pilot project has already been taken to install solar charging stations in six divisional cities, Nasrul said the government, meanwhile, set up 20 solar charging stations across the country.
