Summit LNG Terminal has recently signed a $100 million contract with a consortium of marine work contractors for setting up its floating LNG storage and re-gasification terminal (FSRT) at Moheshkhali, Cox’s Bazar.
It is a turnkey contract involving design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation and testing of the fixed infrastructure. The consortium includes Geocean SAS and MacGregor.
The project completion date is 16 months from the time of signing, said Mohsena Hassan, head of public relations and media, Summit Corporation Limited.

The fixed infrastructure include disconnectable turret mooring (DTM) plug for FSRU vessel system with anchors (suction piles), flexible riser with floatation and tether system, stern mooring system (SMS), offshore pipelines and landfall works.
In August this year, Summit LNG Terminal had signed Time Charter Party (TCP) agreement with Excelerate Energy for securing an FSRU vessel.
