He cannot go out of his house for fear of his uncle, he said

Eric Ershad, son of Late Jatiya Party (JaPa) founder HM Ershad, has accused his uncle GM Quader of trying to bar him from entering his own house if he steps out of it once.

“I cannot go out of my house. I fear my uncle (GM Quader). I am afraid that I may not be allowed to enter my house again if I step out, so I called my mother to stay with me,” he alleged.

Eric made the statement at a press conference held at his President Park residence in Baridhara on Friday.

Earlier on November 18, Eric Ershad filed a general diary (GD) with the Gulshan police station seeking permission to let his mother Bidisha stay with him.

In the GD, Eric said his uncle and his associates tortured him physically and mentally soon after his father died. So, he brought his mother Bidisha, to his President's Park residence on November 14.

“I have asked my mother to stay with me. My father before his death told me not to let my mother suffer in any way... but my uncle GM Quader says that my mother came to this house by force, which is not true,” he told the press conference.

Eric was tortured, Bidisha alleged

Meanwhile, Eric’s mother Bidisha has alleged that GM Quader tortured Eric because of his greed for the property.

“His uncle does not have any love for Eric. All his attention is on Eric's property. He (Quader) had tortured Eric in different ways for property. Even, as a child with special needs (Eric) has not been provided with proper food,” she alleged.

Bidisha also brought allegation that a driver of the house assaulted her son Eric.

“We are feeling insecure here. We cannot go out because of the fear as there is no assurance on whether we can come back to the house again,” she said.

“I will not let go of the right to stay with my son. I will stay with him,” said Bidisha.
