Nirmal Ranjan Guha and Afzal Babu have been announced as Swechchhasebak League's new president and general secretary respectively.
Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader announced the new leadership on Saturday at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh after the ruling party front's council in Dhaka's Suhrawardy Udyan.
The leaderships for the organization's Dhaka metro North and South units have been also announced. Ishaque Mia and Anisur Rahman Naim will lead the North as the president and the general secretary respectively, while Kamrul Hasan Ripon and Tarek Sayeed will assume the roles for the Dhaka South unit.
Earlier in the Awami League chief and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 3rd national council of Awami Swechchhasebak League, the volunteers' affiliate of the ruling party.
