It was meant as a sign of protest for forming the central committee without determining age limit
Two factions of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, student wing of BNP, locked in a clash at the patry's Naya Paltan central office.
The Tuesday incident was meant as a sign of protest for forming the central committee without determining age limit.
The expelled vice president of the currently defunct committee, Iktiar Rehman Kabir, said: “Those who were already inside the office vandalised the CCTV camera, chair and tables. The activists attacked us when we tried to enter, where one of our members was injured.
“If the age limit is not reinstated, this council will not be valid. Also, if the demands are not fulfilled by Wednesday, the syndicate will be responsible for any untoward incident in future."

Earlier in the day Tuesday, BNP Publicity Affairs Secretary Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie said the protestors are young activists of the student wing.
He, however, said the activists should end their conflicts by heeding the senior Chhatra Dal leaders.
When asked about the vandalism, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said: “I do not have anything to comment at present but our activities will continue from July 15 as per the announcement by the council.”
Previously on Monday, the two factions of Chhatra Dal locked in a clash in front of patry's Naya Paltan central office.
The clash occurred demanding cancellation of the expel order of 12 Chhatra Dal leaders.
Five to six improvised bombs were exploded during the clash, said eyewitnesses.
BNP expels 12 Chhatra Dal leaders
The recent clashes were owing to BNP expelling a dozen of Chhatra Dal leaders of the recently dissolved committee for breaching party discipline on Sunday.
