Quader: Cabinet reshuffle aimed at gearing up work in ministries

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reshuffled her cabinet on Sunday

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has said the recent reshuffle in the cabinet was done to speed up and improve the quality of work in ministries.

“The reshuffle in the cabinet is needed to facilitate work in the ministries that is going on as per the directive of the prime minister,” he said at a press briefing at Shetu Bhaban on Monday.

Replying to a query, the minister said: “Now, I am weak, but I hope I will regain my speed of work soon.”

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina reshuffled her cabinet on Sunday.  

According to a notification, Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Mustafa Jabbar has been made minister for Posts and Telecommunications Division, reports BSS.

State Minister for Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak has been given responsibility for the Information and Technology Division.

Also, State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Murad Hassan has been made state minister for the Information Ministry.

State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Shawpan Bhattacharjee has been made state minister for the Rural Development and Cooperatives Division, the notification added.
