Quader to return home on Wednesday

He underwent a bypass surgery on March 20 in Singapore

Obaidul Quader, who is undergoing treatment in Singapore, will return home on Wednesday.

The Road, Transport and Bridges minister and also Awami League general secretary, he talked to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina over phone around 8:20am on Sunday.

Abu Naser Tipu, deputy principal information officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, in a Facebook status said: “The minister will return home on a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight on May 15.”

Quader was initially admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) hospital on March 3, following breathing complications.

Tests revealed three blockages in his coronary artery. He was flown to Singapore the next day for treatment.

He underwent a bypass surgery on March 20.
