The present government is committed to ensure a sustainable security, and a peaceful environment for the people, especially for businessmen to run their businesses smoothly, the home minister has said.
“Bangladesh is now seeing a business-friendly environment in the country. We are now exporting many goods after achieving self-sufficiency in producing those items,” Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said on Saturday, reports BSS.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is keen to do everything possible to expand businesses and attract foreign investment,” he added.
The home minister made the observations while addressing a function at the Dhaka Officers’ Club in the capital, organized to mark the foundation stone laying of unit 2 of Salam Steel Concast Re-Rolling Mills Ltd.
“Drugs are a major obstacle in establishing a Bangladesh of possibility. We will do whatever is needed to eradicate this menace. Drugs are not produced in our country. Some crooked people smuggled these here,” he said.
MP Abu Hossain Babla and Salam Group chairman, Abdus Salam, were present on the occasion, among others.
