BNP is just another anti-Awami League platform, as their sole objective is to oppose Awami League regardless of the context, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun has said.

The minister made the remark while addressing a press at the Narsingdi Circuit House on Friday afternoon.

He said: "BNP appear to have only one objective, which is to resist Awami League. By doing this, they have isolated themselves from the general population of Bangladesh. I do not even consider them to be a political party."

"All the mega projects taken by the government, through the unparalleled leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, will definitely be implemented," he added.

The minister further said: "As the industries minister, I will do everything at my disposal to ensure the continuing development of our country. People voted for us in great numbers, and now our main goal is to fulfill our promises."

Regarding development plans for Narsingdi, he said: "I will work towards creating employment opportunities in Narsingdi. The government has many development plans for this area such as the establishment of fertilizer factories, thermal power plants, and various other industries."

Earlier, the minister was given a Guard of Honor at the Narsingdi Circuit House.

Narsingdi 3 MP Jahirul Haque Bhuiyan Mohon, District Awami League General Secretary Abdul Matin Bhuiyan, Deputy Commissioner Syeda Farhana Kaunain, Superintendent of Police Miraj Uddin Ahmed, and Municipal Mayor and city Awami League President Kamruzzaman were present during the event, among others.
