In response to a question, the new JaPa secretary general also expressed strong hope that he will carry out the duties and responsibilities delegated to him by party chairman HM Ershad.

“No grouping is acceptable inside the party as we are all Ershad’s workers, ” he said to party members.

Ranga, who is also running as a JaPa candidate from Rangpur 1 constituency, greeted all people of his electoral area. He said, “As a candidate of my hometown Rangpur, I am greeting all with heartfelt love and best wishes. It is their prayers and love that has made me secretary general of the party today. I hope everyone will support me in fulfilling chairman Ershad’s dream.”
