The BNP mayoral candidate for Rajshahi city polls says law enforcers have been harassing party men for one and a half months
BNP mayoral candidate Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul for Rajshahi City Corporation elections has said they cannot find 23-24 polling agents.
“We cannot find any trace of 23-24 polling agents. Some polling agents were even asked not to go to the polling centres on the voting day,” he told reporters at the Election Commission’s Rajshahi office on Sunday.
The BNP mayoral candidate submitted a complaint to the returning officer regarding arrest and harassment of the party people.
Bulbul said the law enforcers have been harassing party leaders and activists for the last one and a half months. “Their families were not spared either.”
He said BNP men will go to cast their ballots with burial shroud. “We are fighting for democracy. So we will go to the polling centre tomorrow with burial shroud.”
The Rajshahi City Corporation elections will be held on Monday.
