Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel, president of BNP’s Dhaka metropolitan south unit, has been found unharmed, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said.
“His family told us that he was not arrested. He has been found and is doing well,” the BNP joint secretary general told the media on Thursday.
Rizvi on Tuesday claimed that Sohel could not be traced since his return from Sylhet.
A day later, the home minister said the law enforcement did not arrest Sohel and suspected that he might have gone into hiding.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia had also claimed that they had not arrested the BNP leader.
