Most central committee leaders and cabinet members of Awami League will observe Eid-ul-Adha at their respective constituencies.
There, they will meet with the grassroots leaders and activists to prepare for the upcoming election.
Many of them had already visited their constituencies, but central leaders and lawmakers of the ruling party have planned several programmes in their constituencies during the Eid vacation.
Prime Minister and President of Awami League Sheikh Hasina will greet guests at her official residence at Gonobhaban on Eid day.
She will meet with members of the general public from 9:30am onwards. Later at 11:30am, she will meet with Supreme Court judges and diplomats.
Awami League’s Pijush Kanti Bhattacharya, Joint General Secretaries Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Abdur Rahman, and Organising Secretaries AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury and Mohibul Hassan Chowdhoury (Nowfel) have already left Dhaka for their constituencies.
However, Obaidul Quader, general secretary of the party and Highway Roads and Bridges minister, will stay in Dhaka during the Eid holidays.
Most of the lawmakers, especially the ones from the northern region, have left Dhaka for their constituencies to celebrate Eid.
