BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has congratulated the 13-year-old Bangladeshi boy, who won the top prize at the 21st Dubai International Holy Quran Award (DIHQA).
She handed over Tk1 lakh, a Quran and a prayer rug at her Gulshan political office on Sunday night, BNP posted the information on their official Facebook page.

The boy recited few verses from the Quran and Khaleda praised him as well.
The boy Tariqul, who was also awarded fourth prize in the “beautiful voice” category, walked away with the first prize of Dh250,000 (around Tk55 lakh).
The ceremony also saw Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud honoured with the Islamic Personality of the Year award.
