Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad has drawn a contrast between him and the BNP.
“I have survived in the political field even after remaining out of office for 26 years. But the BNP is not in the field,” the former military dictator said at a views exchange meeting with party leaders at the Khulna Circuit House auditorium Tuesday.
Terming the next national elections a test for Jatiya Party, he said: “We will pass the test with the people's support.”
Ershad is also a special envoy to the prime minister.
JaPa-nominated candidate for the upcoming Khulna City Corporation polls, Mushfiqur Rahim, was introduced to the party chair on the occasion.
Party’s Secretary General ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader was also present.
