The party will organise various indoor programmes throughout the nation to mark the day. A press release, signed by Awami League Office Secretary Abdus Sobhan Golap, made the announcement on Sunday morning. The national flag and party flag will be hoisted on March 7 at 6:30am at Bangabandhu Bhaban in Dhanmondi 32. Party leaders will pay tribute at Bangabandhu's memorial in Dhanmondi around 7am, the press release states. The party will also telecast the historic speech and hold discussions in every ward, union, upazila, municipality and district across the country, it further states. On March 7, 1971, Bangabandhu delivered the historic speech at Suhrawardy Udyan (the then Race Course Maidan), urging people to join the Liberation War against the Pakistani army.
