“Nouka” and she are no different entities, Ivy added.
She hopes the mass people will go for “Nouka” in the upcoming NCC polls on December 22.
She spoke to the journalist after receiving the symbol “Nouka” from the returning officer's office at Narayanganj Club Limited on Monday morning.
Ivy said: “My slogan for this election is 'No fear no worry, the city will be peaceful'. There will be no thugs in Narayanganj.”
Shakhawat Hossain Khan, The BNP-backed mayoral candidate for NCC polls complained of his counterpart over frequently violating the electoral laws.
He also pointed out, after receiving his electoral symbol “Dhaner Shish” from the returning officer's office, existing city corporation officials are campaigning for Ivy which is a clear violation of the electoral system.
Nevertheless, he said he would rely on the election commission as well as on govt to experience a fair election unlike the previous elections held under this commission.
If people can cast their vote fairly on December 22, they will lead “Dhaner Shish” to an overwhelming victory, he added.
