11 other Bangladeshis were injured in the accident
Five Bangladeshis have been killed in a road accident in Saudia Arabia, and 11 others injured.
A minibus carrying 16 Bangladeshi workers fell in the accident around 5:30am local time Wednesday in Jeddah's Mohammadia area, Jeddah Consulate Councillor (labour) Aminul Islam told the Bangla Tribune.
On Wednesday evening, Aminul Islam said five of the workers in the minibus were killed on the spot.
“The injured workers have been taken to four local hospitals – King Abdul Aziz, King Fahad, King Abdullah and Saudi German Hospital,” he said.
“Our people are at the hospitals and we are trying to identify the victims,” he added.
One of the persons killed in the accident has been identified as Md Monirul Islam, son oif Mohsin Hossain of Narail Sadar upazila.
Among the injured persons – four have been identified. They are – Md Israfil Sheikh of Narail, Sujan Ahmed of Sylhet Gopalganj, Md Elahi of Magura and Md Shahjahan Mia of Habiganj Bahubal.
