Daily cases increase
With six Covid deaths recorded in the 24 hours to 8am on Wednesday, the pandemic death toll in Rajshahi division has reached 1,506.
Besides, another 359 people tested positive for Covid during the same period, taking the total caseload in the division to 92,736, reports BSS.
As many as 627 of the deaths occured in Bogra, 275 in Rajshahi with 163 in its city and 151 in Natore, according to Dr Habibul Ahsan Talukder, director of the divisional health office.
Some 14,165 patients are currently undergoing treatment at different dedicated Covid hospitals, said Dr Talukder.

The new daily infection figure shows a slight increase compared to the previous day's figure of 333.
Meanwhile, another 2,586 patients recovered from the disease in the division, taking the total number of recoveries to 79,338 since the pandemic began in March last year.
All Covid positive patients in the division have so far been brought under treatment, with 21,116 being kept at the isolation units of different hospitals for institutional supervision. Of them, 14,757 have been released to date.
On the other hand, 388 more people were sent to home and institutional quarantines afresh, while 1,882 others were released from isolation during the same time.
