The law enforcers learnt about the house after they arrested the imam of the mosque, Abdullah Al Mamun, on Sunday.
They raided the house in Noagaon area and arrested the youth from Kazipara based on information given by Mamun during interrogation.
Police say Mamun is a key member of the Neo JMB militant group responsible for a number of killings and blasts since 2015. Mamun used the house as a den of militants to make bombs, said Rahamatullah Chowdhury Suman, additional deputy commissioner of CTTC bomb disposal unit.
The bomb, found near a police box in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj in May, was manufactured in this house.
CTTC chief Additional Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman recently said that the militant organizations had no capability to carry out large-scale sabotage, as the CTTC had destroyed their networks.
