APBn claims the two kidnappers are active members of a Rohingya bandit group
Members of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) have arrested two suspected Rohingya abductors from a refugee camp in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar.
The arrestees are Nurul Islam, 22, and Mohammad Jobayer, 25, both from H-block of Nayapara Registered Refugee Camp in Hnila union of the upazila.
They were arrested from the camp on Tuesday afternoon, reports Bangla Tribune.
APBn claims the two kidnappers are active members of the Rohingya bandit group Putia.

Cox's Bazar APBn-16 Battalion Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohammad Tariqul Islam confirmed the matter and said: “Saiful, a local Bangladeshi citizen, was abducted by a group of miscreants in front of the H-block of the Nayapara Registered Refugee Camp on February 23.
“On information, APBn members immediately launched a rescue operation. Meanwhile, the miscreants left Saiful in the hilly area adjacent to the camp and fled. Saiful was later rescued and handed over to his family on the same day.
“An APBn team raided the camp with Saiful on Monday afternoon. Based on Saiful’s identification, the two abductors were arrested from their homes,” said the APBn official.
“Several cases were filed against the duo with Teknaf police station on various charges including kidnapping. A new case has been filed against them under the relevant law and they have been handed over to Teknaf police station,” he added.
