A worker died falling off under- construction Payra Bridge at Lebukhali in Patuakhali district on Thursday morning.
The deceased is Mustafizur Rahman Haoladar Swapon, 30, a surveyor helper of the construction work.
Abdul Halim, director of Payra Bridge project, said Swapon slipped and fell while working on the bridge.
Swapon died on the way to Barisal Medical College Hospital, said the project director.
Swapon was a resident of Bakerganj in Barisal district.
