One hospitalized in critical condition, say police
At least one person was injured when a train crashed into a car in Narayanganj on Thursday.
The driver of the car, identified as 36-year-old Abdul Jalil, was critically injured in the accident at an unmanned level-crossing in Fatullah, said police.
The victim has been taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Fatullah Model police station Officer-in-Charge Aslam Hossain.
According to witnesses, the car’s engine stalled on the level-crossing at Pagla Nandalalpur area around 2:45pm.
At the time, a Dhaka-bound train rammed the car. Local residents later rescued the driver and rushed him to the hospital.
