Hundreds of polytechnic students gathered in Chittagong to administer their four point demand. The list of demands included the request to resume classes and exams in universities, reports UNB.

The Khulshi police station officer in charge, Md. Shahinuzzaman, stated that the students were forming rallies and human chains in order to raise their demands. The protests briefly affected traffic, however they ended in a peaceful manner.
The students demanded the elimination of extra fees, along with a reduction of the semester fees in all private polytechnic institutes in their four point demand. They also called for the addition of more seats in technical universities by 2021.
The government extended the closure of all educational institutions until January 30 due to the ongoing pandemic.
