After the woman got a divorce from her husband, a ghotok told her that he had found a groom for her
Police on Monday arrested two people in connection with gang-raping a woman, who was reportedly lured by one of the arrestees who identified himself as a ghotok (middle-man who arranges marriage).
The arrested were identified as Md Sagir, 45, the ghotok and Md Sumon, 25, of Patarirhat area of the upazila.
Confirming the matter Kamalnagar police station Officer-in Charge (OC) Absar Hossain said the woman earlier filed a case against the duo at the police station in this regard.

According to the case statement, after the woman got a divorce from her husband, Md Sagir identified himself as a ghotok and said he had found a groom for her.
On Saturday, Sagir took her to Sumon in an isolated place located in Patarirhar area and both of them raped her throughout the night, the case detail further says.
