Three killed in Chandpur road accident

At least three people have been killed in a road accident at the intersection of Faridganj-Chandpur-Lakshmipur road in Chandpur.

The tragedy occurred at around 2:30pm on Monday in the TNT area of the district.

The deceased, Jahid, 16, Raihan, 17, and Al Amin, 16, were employees of a local internet service provider company.

The three were going to a local area to set up internet lines after having lunch at a local shop.

They were on a motorcycle when it collided head-on with a CNG-run three wheeler from the opposite side.

Jahid died on the spot while Raihan died while undergoing treatment at Chandpur General Hospital; Al Amin died on his way to a hospital in Dhaka, according to the police.

“We went to the spot and seized the vehicles. We will take necessary legal action regarding the incident,” said Md Shahid Hossain, officer-in-charge of Faridganj police station.
