An activist of Bangladesh Awami League has been hacked to death in Shibganj upazila of Bogra district.
Mostafizur Rahman Mosta, 52, member of Awami League at ward 9 of Shibaloy union council in the upazila was accused in several cases, said police sources.
Police recovered his body Wednesday morning near a pond adjacent to his house in the union council of the upazila.
Bogra Assistant Superintendent of Police Ariful Islam Siddique confirmed the information.
Quoting locals, Ariful Islam, said a group of miscreants attacked Mostafizur on Tuesday night while he was going to his brickfield one kilometre from home.
The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately but police said they suspected that miscreants might have killed him over previous enmity.
