At least one man has been killed and 15 others injured after an under-construction ceiling of a privately-owned medical college and hospital building collapsed in Bhola.
The incident took place at the construction site of Azhar Fatema Memorial Medical College and Hospital in Sadar upazila's Banglabazar area around 10:30am on Saturday, according to witnesses.
The deceased was identified as Khairul, 30, from Kurigram, said locals and officials.
The critically injured are currently undergoing treatment at Bhola Sadar Hospital, while members of Fire Service and Civil Defence are conducting a search and rescue for anyone trapped under the debris.
According to locals, Bhola 1 MP Tofail Ahmed laid the building's foundation stone on December 25, 2019.
