2 children injured in crude bomb blast in Jessore

They were taken to Jessore General Hospital

Two children were injured after a crude bomb they mistook for a toy exploded at Ghop Mahmudur Rahman School ground in Jessore town on Monday evening.

The injured are Sapan, 11, son of Bayezid Rahman, and Mehedi, 9, son of Mukul Ahmed of Ghop Central Road area.

Local people said Sapan and Mehedi found an object, containing a crude bomb, while playing on the school premises that exploded with a big bang, leaving them injured.

They were taken to Jessore General Hospital.

Swapan, a duty doctor of the hospital, said one of the victims sustained injury on a wrist while another sustained burn injury.
