At least three people were killed in road accidents in Habiganj and Comilla on Saturday.
In Comilla, two people were killed and two others were injured when a bus wrecked a three-wheeler that was kept parked behind a truck.
The incident took place on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway in Korpai area of Burichang upazila in the morning.
Police are yet to identify the deceased, Mainamati Highway police station Officer-in-Charge Safayet Hossain confirmed.
According to police and locals, a truck was parked in the area, behind which the driver of the three-wheeler parked his vehicle after it broke down.
A speeding bus of Star Line Paribahan rammed into the three-wheeler causing it to get smashed in the middle of the bus and the truck.
The injured people, including a child, were sent to Comilla Medical College Hospital for treatment, OC Shafayet said.
In Habiganj, a 14-year-old girl was killed after an autorickshaw hit her in the Mantala area of Madhabpur upazila in the morning.
The deceased has been identified as Jesmin Akhter, a seventh grader at a local madrasa of Mantala village.
Shayestaganj Highway police station OC Toufiqul Islam confirmed the incident.
