On October 18 of 2019, Talim was stabbed to death at the Khan Jahan Ali Mazar area
A fugitive of a murder case has reportedly been killed in police custody, claims the victim's family.
The victim has been identified as Raja Fakir, 22, the key suspect in the murder of a college student and Chhatra League activist Talim Mullick, 18.
Raja's father Babu Fakir alleged that the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) picked his son up from Patuakhali on Sunday, as he was accused in a murder case.
The family heard that Raja had been severely beaten by police, but when they contacted the PBI's Bagerhat unit office, they failed to receive any information in this regard or to meet him, said Babu.
On Monday evening, the duty doctor of Bagerhat Sadar Hospital declared Raja dead when locals, upon finding him, took him there.
Md Jahidur Rahman, PBI Superintendent of Police (SP) in Bagerhat refused to make any comment regarding the matter.
On October 18 of 2019, Talim was stabbed to death at the Khan Jahan Ali Mazar area in Bagerhat. He was an 11th grader at the Government PC College in Bagerhat.
